The Designer

Eleftheria Ioannidou or Nika was born and raised in Kozani, Greece. She studied Business Administration in Patras and worked for a few years in the family business. However, her passion for arts & crafts lead her to discover her “real” love for fashion from an early age!

Making her dream come true in 2014, she moves to Athens and starts fashion seminars. They follow two successful years at Fashion Workshop’s Mod ‘Art International School, where she expertise in fashion, creation, photography & styling. At the same time, Nika attempts her first successful collection called “Simplify”. All her creations are ready -to-wear, while in the design of the entire collection they dominate white and striped elements made of fixed fabrics and plexiglass. It was a collection with a lot of volume in garments and she wanted something very clean to complete the look.  That was the first experience with the plexiglass bags. She liked the idea of how to design and construct a product like this, “It opened my mind and I wanted to evolve it more.”

After her graduation, she earns a scholarship to continue her fashion lessons in Paris. But her will and impatience to start her own brand and start working, couldn’t make her move in Paris. Year by year, Nika obtains more experience in the field and collaborates with leading Greek designers and brands. She started working close to Stelios Koudounaris designer to the design department and helped her to learn important things and understand how to work a collection. She worked in too many fashion shows such as Jean-Paul Gautier, Stelios Koudounaris, Vasilis Zoulias, MI-RO designers, Yiorgos Eleftheriades, etc.

In her very first year of existence, she had the honor to feature her work in British Vogue‘s Designer Profile as a designer to watch for 3 issues.” It was something that I couldn’t imagine. I don’t even know how they find me.”After that, they continue 2 more successful years. She begins teaching fashion and creation to kids and decides to open her first store/ showroom in the center of Athens.

She claims to be a fan of the total black or white look, while her daily outfits are tailored to her mood. Inspired by simple everyday events, she always follows her instincts and creates pieces with a fancy and cool mood. As she states: “Something I will see in my daily life or something I might read, can affect me in the creation of an entire collection”.
